Claire S. Coburn Good Samaritan Fund

The Claire S. Coburn Good Samaritan Fund is a Memorial Fund in which we set aside resources in memory of many of our deceased patients. The resources of this fund is to be exclusively used to provide veterinary medical and surgical services to injured or sick homeless pets that are brought in to our hospital.

Claire S. Coburn was Dr. Alan Coren’s late mother-in-law and Dr. Jared Coren’s Grandmother. She was a kind, compassionate animal lover. She used to donate virtually her entire salary as a surgical nurse to care for stray animals and to send gifts and toys anonymously to many of the shelters throughout Queens and Long Island. This fund will embrace Claire’s passion and compassion and be a fitting tribute to an amazing human being!
