Committed to Lifelong Pet Health

Jeremy Lancer, BVSc

Veterinarian

Veterinary Education: Massey University, New Zealand

Dr. Lancer brings a lifelong passion for animal care and a global perspective to his work as a small animal veterinarian. Originally from Melville, NY, Dr. Lancer knew from the age of seven that he wanted to work with animals. His journey began with volunteer roles at local clinics and wildlife rehabilitation centers, laying the foundation for a career built on compassion and curiosity.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychobiology from Binghamton University, where he played lacrosse, served as a resident assistant, and volunteered with local shelters and ambulance corps. After gaining hands-on experience as a veterinary assistant in both general and specialty practices, Dr. Lancer took his education abroad—earning his veterinary degree from AVMA-accredited Massey University in New Zealand in 2009.

Dr. Lancer began his clinical career in a rural mixed-animal practice, treating a wide range of patients from cats and dogs to sheep and goats. In 2012, he returned home to Long Island and completed a competitive internship at the Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island, where he was recognized for outstanding performance.

His professional interests include preventive medicine, clinical pathology, dermatology, soft tissue surgery, nutrition, behavior, and infectious disease.

Dr. Lancer lives in Huntington with his wife, Alexis—a primatologist—their son Leo, their dog Logan (a pit bull), and two cats, Tui and Kea. When he’s not caring for patients, you’ll find him enjoying the outdoors, working on cars, or diving into the latest tech.

Nicole Cerniello Tresnan, DVM

Veterinarian

Veterinary Education: Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Cerniello grew up in Dix Hills, NY, and by kindergarten, she knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. Dr. Cerniello received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware in Animal and Food Science. She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical rotations at Louisiana State University in 2017.

She started her career at North Shore Animal League America, where she gained extensive experience in rescue, surgery, and medical cases. In 2019, she joined Greenwich Village Animal Hospital and became the medical director there in 2021. After many years away from Long Island, Dr. Cerniello is excited to return and join the West Hills network. Her professional interests include dentistry, dermatology, and preventative medicine. Dr. Cerniello lives in Centerport with her husband and her two children. In her free time, she enjoys the beach, reading, baking, and exercising.

Mina

Practice Manager

Mina is our Practice Manager and has been a valued member of the Oyster Bay Animal Hospital team for the past four years. She began her journey with us as an Assistant and Receptionist before advancing into her current role, giving her a deep understanding of every aspect of the hospital. Mina is known for her compassion, energy, and genuine love for all of our patients. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, music, and all things tattoo-related.

Mina shares her home with her husband and their three beloved pets: two dogs, Nala and Delilah, and a cat named Lizzo.

Paige

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Paige is our Licensed Veterinary Technician who began her journey with the West Hills network in 2018 as a veterinary assistant. It was there that she discovered her true passion for animal care and decided to pursue her career as a licensed technician. Paige has a special talent for working with nervous or fearful patients who would much rather be anywhere else than the doctor’s office, helping them feel safe and understood.

Outside of work, Paige enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs—Cam, a Golden Retriever, and Vette, a Shar Pei mix. When she’s not caring for animals, you can find her gardening, attending concerts, or watching true crime documentaries.

Chris

Veterinary Assistant

Chris joined the team at Oyster Bay Animal Hospital after shadowing Dr. Lancer, an experience that confirmed his passion for veterinary medicine. Currently an undergraduate Biology major at Stony Brook University, Chris is working toward his goal of becoming a veterinarian and looks forward to applying to vet school in the near future.

He shares his home with a rabbit named Bambi, and when he’s not studying or working, you’ll likely find him unwinding with a movie or playing video games.

Tori has been part of the team at Oyster Bay Animal Hospital since February 2025. She is a second-year veterinary student at Long Island University with a passion for shelter medicine, general practice, and urgent care. With a master’s degree in animal science and two years of research in poultry neuroendocrinology, Tori has a special place in her heart for all things poultry. She loves being involved in each patient’s journey—watching them grow, recover, and thrive—and finds great joy in helping pets and their owners every step of the way. Tori is excited to continue her journey toward becoming a veterinarian in the coming years.

Tyler

Veterinary Assistant

Tyler is so happy to join the OBAH team after graduating from Cornell in upstate NY, where she studied animal science. With two years of experience in animal care, Tyler recently applied to veterinary school and hopes to one day join the ranks of the experienced vets at Oyster Bay. Her most interesting animal experience was volunteering at a wildlife rehab shelter, where she cared for possums, groundhogs, porcupines, and other small mammals.

From Long Beach, Tyler is a beach girl and nature lover at heart. In her free time, you can find her sewing, surfing, skiing, or hiking in the Long Island outdoors.
